    One Last Winter Walk

    Saturday, February 27th, 2010

February is coming to an end and Spring should be just around the corner, but Mother Nature took one last chance (hopefully) to dump a whole bunch of snow on Northeast Ohio. I called up my good friend Andrea and off into the woods we went.

And since it’s the end of the month, now is also the time to place “Ask LoC”! Got a question about you think only a photographer could answer? Got a question about how I do things or why I do things? Now is your chance! Comment or email questions and in a couple of weeks I’ll post answers.

    Lakeview Cemetery

    Sunday, January 10th, 2010

Took off on Sunday morning with some old and new friends to a walk through Cleveland’s Lakeview Cemetery.

Surprisingly, I had never been there before, but I can’t wait to get back.

The doors on the mausoleums were really interesting to me.

    Reindeer Parking Only

    Friday, December 18th, 2009

I originally took this photo a year ago at the Cleveland Metropark Zoo.  My children were in the Wolf Lodge visiting with Santa and I had wandered outside to see if there was anything interesting to take pictures of.  Don’t worry, Carter and Paige weren’t alone.  In fact, they were probably better off since they were under the supervision of their mother.  ;)

Right outside the Wolf Exhibit is the reindeer display.  I guess they keep it close by so they are easier to feed to the wolves.  Crazy zookeepers.  Anyhow, it appears that Santa has his reindeer parked there that day as well, but I didn’t know that until much later.

I snapped this as a throwaway shot and just went on about my business.   I didn’t know I had captured Rudolph until I got home that night and started editing pictures.  I can only guess that my shutter click triggered his nose to light for one brieft second.

This year, I’ve had a half dozen emails asking about this picture.  All children wanting a picture of Rudolph left under the tree from Santa as a little extra bit of proof that he really does exist.   I’ve answered every single one of those emails with a smile.

If any of you want this picture – here it is.  Right click away and take it.  All I ask is that you leave a Merry Christmas message in the comments. ;)

    - Merry Christmas!

    Snow Flurries

Fouteen children from five years old to about two weeks. No problem.

My daughter’s sitter asked me to come and photograph the kids she cares for as Christmas gifts for the parents.

I also did individuals of all the kids.
