This is the second time twin sister’s Lilly and Leah make an appearance here at LoC! This time around it’s to celebrate turning one! Woot!
Have you ever seen a more stoic wooden pony rider? That’s serious business going on! Speaking of going on. One year old is a lot more mobile that six months! When they were done with me, they were off on the go!

I first met Lauren about a year ago when she was a bridemaid at Carli and Kevin’s wedding. I had no idea then that almost a year later I would be shooting her engagement photos or heading off to Mexico to be a part of their wedding day in 2012.
She’s a nurse. He’s a fire fighter. They met on the job and she knew right away she had found Mr. Right! That was a few years back, but she obviously knew what she was talking about. Eric is a great guy. I’ had a lot of fun talking with them about their wedding, engagement, sports, the housing market…we talked…a lot…
First stop on our evening shoot was at Eric’s fire station. I swear, this has been a year of firetrucks for me. Third shoot this year around a big red truck. I told the rest of the guys at the station that is was their job to heckle Lauren and Eric as I took pictures but none of them stuck around once I broke out the camera. After we finished up there we made a trip down to the east bank of the Flats and East 4th St. We even snuck into the Old Arcade long enough to get one picture on the steps before security caught on to what we were doing. But since they didn’t actually make it over to tell us to go away then we really didn’t do anything wrong, right?

I normally spend one Saturday in August chasing Chris, Janice and the rest of their family around the streets of downtown while they run the Cleveland Triathlon. This year they finally decided to make it easier on me and we set up a time to get together and take some family photos that were not quite as hot and sweaty.
We met last Saturday morning down in the Eastman Reading Garden next to the Cleveland Public Library. It’s pretty neat little spot that has a variety of backdrops right there as well as a quite a few other great locations within walking distance. While little Derrick may have wanted us to chase him all over downtown, we never had to leave the garden. I was able to get a bunch of great shots and everybody had a lot of fun.

Tracy and Ben met at UNC several years ago and fell for each other. After graduation they ended up coming back to Ohio settling in Columbus. Just this last winter they got engaged. That’s where we met to do their engagement photos! Since I know very little about the area, I called on Tracy and Ben to pick out the best places to shoot and they came through with flying colors. We had a great time and hit several locations. We started off at their local hangout, then hit their church and a few places downtown. Got great shots at all of them. I can’t wait to get together with them again in the fall to shoot their wedding!

Haley and Jim met way back when they were kids. They knew a lot of the same people all through school and once college rolled around the started to get closer. A couple years ago that became a relationship and last November Jim asked for her hand in marriage. You can tell they are great friends and belong together. I’m really looking forward to their October wedding!
I do have to say that we aren’t doing on the weather though. I remember driving out to meet them during a blizzard this past winter. Then this week, we decide to shoot this engagement session and it was pouring down rain for most of the day. Fortunately, we were able dodge the drops and got to spend a few hours around Chardon taking pictures and having some fun. I’m pretty sure we have all the bad weather out of the way and it can only be pleasant and sunny on their wedding day!
