Is there anything better than taking in a ball game on a warm summer night?   Tonight I finally got to see my team, the LoC Ducks, on the field for the first time this season.  The guys played tough, but fell short by a run.  Doesn’t matter that much.  They had fun and got to hang out with their buddies for a couple of hours.  Playing the dirt, spitting sunflower seeds and, at this age, probably some slightly inappropriate jokes on the bench. Getting pretty much like the Bigs if you ask me.

I’ve been sponsoring my kid’s teams for the past couple of years – soccer, t-ball, softball, baseball. It’s a good way to give back to the city leagues. I don’t feel guilty about not coaching if I’m footing part of the bill for the team! And since I’m not coaching I get to shoot more of the action so expect lots of photos this summer – maybe not here in the blog – but over at the LoC Facebook page (become a fan!)
