It was a beautiful – but windy – day and it was enjoyed by their close family and friends that attended. I wish them both nothing but happiness in their future together!
This is another story of the connections I’ve remade because of photography. Scott and I went to kindergarten together, then middle school, and high school. Falling out of touch sometime after graduation like so many people do. We connected again through Facebook and then he let me know he was getting married and wanted to know if I would shoot the wedding. Of course! I met Amanda for the first time a month of so ago and completely understand how special she is. Just this past weekend they were married in a small ceremony at the Lodge at Geneva on the Lake. Elaine and Bill may be off in Mexico but I’m not waiting to post their pics. I like them too much!
I have to say, they were a great couple to work with. Really carefree and just out to have a good time on their wedding day. I think it shows in all the smiles.
I explored the glamorous life of nature photography this weekend by camping out next to one of the biggest beaver lodges I’ve ever seen. This one was easily six feet high and 20 feet long. Hung out there on a very cold evening for a few hours and never saw the rodent.
I took this shot just as it was getting dark and just before packing up my gear for the evening. I’ll probably give this another shot when I return to this area later this spring or early summer.
