Hungry

It’s been a while since I just went out and shot for fun – just picked up my camera and did whatever I wanted with it.   Today I did just that.  I got off my @ss and shot (GOYA).

The first picture in this post is one of two robin’s nests that are in the yard this year.  These guys are the youngsters.  The other nest if full of ugly babies that already have their feathers coming in and barely fit in the nest anymore.

Lace Curtain

This next shot is the light at the top of the steps leading up to my bedroom.  It’s being filtered by a lace curtain and a venetian blind.  It happens every night that isn’t cloudy at just about 7:30PM.  Anybody want to come and stand in here and have their picture taken?  I think a portrait would work really nice.

Puddles of Light

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

My good friend, Andrea, and I went scouting locations for some weddings we’re shooting together next year.  She needed a tour guide for Cleveland and I just needed and excuse to go downtown and shoot.

Among our stops was the old Cleveland Courthouse.  We found these fantastic puddles of light coming through the windows on the second floor.  The building was being setup for a reception and that was great as it gave us a good idea of how it will look when we get our chance at the place.

From there was hustled over to the Hyatt Hotel in the Old Arcade. There was a wedding being shot there as well. I’m sure we would have been doing it better. ;) There wasn’t a whole lot of other activity going on except for these guys taking in the quiet afternoon with a game of chess.
