Without a doubt, one of the most rewarding relationships that I’ve developed has been with the incredible people at United Cerebral Palsy. Three years ago I became involved with them when I volunteered to help shoot pictures of their involvement with the Cleveland Triathlon. I had a reason to help out in that a friend from high school had a son that had CP. Little did I know what I would be getting into. Back then it was a dozen or so families that pushed and pulled their children around the downtown in an effort to raise money and awareness for UCP. Since then the number of families has grown and so have the abilities of those children that were once pushed and pulled. This year two of them rode bikes and one walked the course on her own! It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you just try.

I’ve taken this exact same picture of Chris and Tyler three years in a row. I will take it again every chance I get.

What a great time I had yesterday! Jessica and Yacine came into Cleveland from NYC to get married. Cleveland is Jessica’s hometime, but she’s truly international – just like her new husband. Honestly, people flew in from all corners of the globe to take part in their special day. I’m glad I was able to go along for the ride.

Look for more in a couple of weeks!

Every photographer loves to hear their client say “just do your thing”. That’s what Christy and Mark told me to do and I think I did it pretty well.
I don’t recall much about meeting these two for the first time to look over albums except that it was cold and we just hit it off talking like we had known each other for a while. It was a comfortable conversation and I was so glad when they booked me. I have to give some props to Mark for be a North Ranger as well! I’d say Rebel’s s*ck but it’s Senior Portrait season
We met at Mark’s parents house and Christy had some fun ideas about using the pond and canoe. Now most couples build up to stuff like this but they went right to the canoe! We shot there for about an hour and then headed into Downtown Willoughby for a quick trip down the main stretch.

Christy, Mark and I were supposed to invade University Circle this afternoon for their engagement session. Fortunately, I found out that Parade the Circle was going on and we changed plans. Instead we hit downtown Willoughby for a quick walk through the streets for some fun and great pictures.
More to come in week or so. I have some film from this session that needs processed. Don’t forget to come back though – you don’t want to miss the rest of this session!

One of the cool things about photography (with a little help from Facebook) is that it has brought me back in contact with a lot of old friends. Renee and I met before she was a year old. Right there is the proof in color.

I was skinny and she was cute. Guess which one of us doesn’t look the same…. :/
I fell out of touch with her mom after college, but we crossed paths once again and in an effort to make me feel really old she asked if I would take Renee’s senior portraits. How could I refuse?
We met up earlier this week and walked through downtown Willoughby. I was one of the last hot days of the year most likely and we took advantage of that and even went down to the river and got a little wet.

And if Superman shows up then you have to take your picture with him. I’m pretty sure it’s a law.
