Christmas Traditions

Sunday, December 18th, 2011

The family I spent yesterday in downtown Cleveland at Tower City.  The kids like to see the decorations and walk the city streets.  It’s become one of our traditions to watch the Toy Soldier show and then grab a bite to eat at some downtown restaurant.  This year was fantastic.  We even had the first serious snow of the Christmas season to help get us in the mood.

Jessica + Yacine: The Wedding Preview

Sunday, June 19th, 2011

What a great time I had yesterday!  Jessica and Yacine came into Cleveland from NYC to get married.  Cleveland is Jessica’s hometime, but she’s truly international – just like her new husband.  Honestly, people flew in from all corners of the globe to take part in their special day.  I’m glad I was able to go along for the ride.

LoC Soccer!

Defense!

Last year I started sponsoring some of the city sports teams. That’s my boy wearing #7 and sporting LoC on his shirt. This year, I’ve got one soccer team, a softball team, and a baseball team. It’s a great way to help out the city leagues and my kids think it’s pretty cool to be on Dad’s team!

Offense!

I don’t get to shoot the games much since I also coach soccer and baseball. Softball I’m in the clear so there may be a whole lot of pictures from my daughter’s games showing up!

Rain in the City

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

It’s been so long since I last posted here I almost forgot my password.

Headed out to Downtown Cleveland today to shoot with a few friends that have probably seen to much of me recently.  That plan was to get some “urban decay” but the rain sort of hindered our efforts.  After spending some time inside the Old Arcade, I just couldn’t find anything that caught my eye so out onto the wet city streets I went.

The rains adds so much to the city. It gives it a shine and adds some contrast to the concrete.

Toy Soldier

Tower City in Cleveland is one of my favorite places to visit this time of year.  The decorations are nice and there is lots to of fun stuff going on to keep the kids busy.

Here is shot of the Toy Soldier, who dances with children that stop to watch his turns and spins.
