Tiffany + Matt – The Engagement Session

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

I met up with Tiffany and Matt about a week ago at Squire’s Castle.   The weather almost didn’t cooperate, but in the end it turned out to be a pretty nice afternoon and I think we took full advantage of it.  Along with a stop at Squire’s, we also wandered into downtown Willoughby and made a stop at the place they went on for their first date and paid a visit to my favorite wall.

Yes…I have a favorite wall.

Christy + Mark: The Wedding!

Friday, September 2nd, 2011

I cannot say enough about the fun I’ve had with Christy and Mark since meeting for the first time at the beginning of 2011. Their engagement shoot was a lot of fun and it carried right on over to the wedding. It’s obvious how much they mean to each other and how important their friends and family are to their relationship as well. In fact, they entire congregation at the ceremony became part of the vows!

We met early in the afternoon at Mark’s parent’s house for everybody to get ready and to do the first look. This is my second time at Mark’s parent’s place and I’m wondering if I can pay them to use if for photoshoots! It’s beautiful – the deck, the large backyard and the pond! Once Mark got to see his bride for the first time we did some quick pictures with all the family and then headed off to Squire’s Castle for some “not so” formals!

The ceremony was a Pine Ridge Country Club in Willoughby. It’s a beautiful layout. The ceremony took place in front of a full house and ended with a standing ovation! Then it was time for dinner, drinks and a whole lot of dancing!

And clown shoes…

We are family

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

It’s been a long time since I’ve been nervous about picking up a camera and going out to shoot anything, but when a peer in the photography industry asks you to shoot her and her family – well -  got nervous.

Andrea is a fantastic photographer and I wouldn’t hesitate at all to recommend her to anybody for portrait work – unless of course, I’m not booked and then there is no reason to call her at all. ;)

The original plan was to go the Mentor Headlands, but Mother Nature had other plans and at the last minute things were moved to Squire’s Castle because it has a roof.  Ironically, as soon as we arrived the rain stopped and the sky got nice and blue.  Still I think Squire’s turned out to be a better location.

The only thing that matters in the end is the pictures.  We all seemed to have a good time and the shots turned out great.

A Family at Squires
