Kicking off the Christmas Season

Posted in christmas by paullender | No Comments »

It’s that time of year that I gather up the wife and children and force them pose for a picture we can use as our Christmas Card.  Remember – if you don’t do it then Santa won’t come!

So it’s normally an exercise in organized chaos , we just decided to make the shot organized chaos.  Here are a couple of outtakes from the event.  I’ll post the finished card later when start to mail them out.

I’d also like to point out that this is in our living room. Not some fancy studio space. People often wonder when I say that I’m on site photographer what can be achieved. Well, stuff just like this…it just takes a well thought out plan. ;)

Toy Soldier

Tower City in Cleveland is one of my favorite places to visit this time of year.  The decorations are nice and there is lots to of fun stuff going on to keep the kids busy.

Here is shot of the Toy Soldier, who dances with children that stop to watch his turns and spins.

Snow Angel

If you haven’t been to the Main Page recently, you might not have seen that I am taking orders for Christmas Portraits now.

The holidays are also a great time to get a family portrait since out of town parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and relatives usually come into town.

Under His Hat

I took a lot of pictures this week – a lot of good pictures. I also learned how valuable good chocolate milk is to a 2 1/2 year old, but that’s another picture and another post.

This is one of several pictures I took for our family Christmas Card this year. The card has gone from being a simple thing to a whole project this year. I guess that’s to be expected when there is a photographer and Photoshop expert in the house.

I’m sure I’ll post more from this series as November rolls on. Some of you might even end up with the final product in your mailbox.

Merry Christmas!
