About

I was born and raised in Northeast Ohio and still live right around the corner from my childhood home. I’m married with two kids and a dog.

Sometime around middle school I picked up a SLR camera for the first time – a Canon AE-1 program. Back then it was all B/W film. I made my own rolls and used the school darkroom to develop everything I shot. In those days, I focused on shooting sports. Why? Cheerleaders! ;)

In 2001, my children brought me back to photography. So many moments to capture. Simple point and shoots quickly stopped meeting my needs and suddenly I was back in the world of SLR’s – only this time they were pro-sumer level digital ones.

Those pictures of my kids began to get noticed among my circle of friends.  They wanted pictures.  Then their friends wanted pictures.  So in 2008, I began Left of Center Photography as a family portrait business.  In 2009 weddings were added to the mix and quickly became something I enjoyed doing.

In 2011, Left of Center branched out in to the world of boudoir photography by introducing Black, White and Boudoir.  It’s sophisticated and romantic, black and white photography.  Be sure to stop over there and look around.  Boudoir sessions make wonderful gifts for the special someone in your life on wedding days, anniversaries, holidays or just anytime.

Hard to believe Left of Center Photography is four years old.  I’ve met great new friends and reconnected with old ones – photographing their weddings, their families, their memories of this moment in their lives that they want to remember.
